Promoting Ethical Creation
and usage of technology
In recent years, STEM/STEAM Education has risen in popularity worldwide. Many schools and parents have begun to realize the importance of STEAM Education. In 2023, Dr. Turner Lam and Dr. Elliot Lee launched an improved version of the “DDMTS” model to feature Singapore’s STEAM Education. The “S” in the DDMTS model stands for “Sustainability”. This “S” concept particularly emphasizes that STEAM abilities acquired by students in academia can be translated to the workplace, ensuring that knowledge and skills learnt in the classroom can meet the needs of the working world.
One unique feature of SEAS is the adoption of the “DDMTS” model in its curriculum design. Another unique feature is that we provide world-recognized certificates to all program participants, bridging the competencies required by academia and industry. The certification (issued jointly in partnership with academic institution) is the 1st in the world to quantify critical thinking, cooperative learning and creativity.
